South Australia Police trained its members at the Fort Largs Police Academy at Taperoo.
Course 18 commenced training in September 1966.
This Blog reminds us all of what has happened over the past 50 years.
To recognise the 50 years anniversary of Course 18 training, members of the Course are invited to participate in a 50 year reunion.
Members who have photos of the times at Fort Largs are invited to send a copy of these to roger Zeuner at rogerzeuner@gmail.com.
If you know the whereabouts of any of the Course members you are asked to contact them and advise them of the reunion and to give me their details so that I can keep everyone informed of the progress of the reunion.

Graduation. Gordon Jacobs travelled from
NSW to attend. We travelled on the Steam

enjoyed a trip on the Paddle Steamer Oscar W on the river. A delicious meal at the Goolwa Hotel and
return trip to Mount Barker. Plenty of time to reminisce. Members in the photo, who look just like they

REUNION 50 years from entering Training
What a remarkable two days. For
those members who did not make it and I know there are several reasons for this
to be, you did miss out on something very special.
The group who attended this time decided that we should plan to have
another reunion in 3 years when it will be the anniversary of our
graduation. Everyone has plenty of
notice then to keep the calendar clear for this, same time in 3 years.
It was fabulous catching up with everyone who attended and seeing what they
have been up to over the past 50 years.
When I entered the Academy last Friday, the first thought I had when I saw
everybody was, "Who are all these
old people." NO only kidding, I
think everyone has worn the years very well.
Health issues have been minimal and everyone looked fit and well.
